Harold F. Speir
President
With over 40 years of hands-on experience in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical work, Harold Speir brings deep knowledge and practical insight to every project. As the owner of a thriving business, he understands the unique challenges and demands of today’s construction landscape and has guided the company to grow and succeed—even in a constantly evolving industry.
Harold holds a Non-Restricted State of Georgia Electrical License and completed technical training at both Central Georgia Technical College and Upson Technical. His leadership, adaptability, and commitment to quality workmanship continue to shape the company’s strong reputation and long-standing client relationships.
Harold remains passionate about delivering reliable service and mentoring the next generation of skilled professionals.
Mona Speir
Chief Executive Officer
Mona brings over 30 years of combined experience in electrical sales, distribution, and management to her role as CEO. What began in 1989 as a temporary job evolved into a dynamic and rewarding career spanning multiple facets of the electrical industry. Her background includes roles in wholesale management, material distribution, and national lighting representation, giving her a diverse and valuable skill set. She holds a bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field but has carved out a leadership path through hands-on experience and dedication.
Mona joined Speir & Associates at its inception in 1998 and has played a vital role in the company’s development ever since. She has held numerous positions over the years, including assistant project manager, bookkeeper, and payroll supervisor. These roles have provided her with a comprehensive understanding of company operations, ultimately preparing her to take on the role of CEO.
As CEO, Mona is responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting operations as well as job management. Her leadership and deep industry knowledge have been instrumental in driving the company’s continued growth and success.
Jake Harrell
Vice President
Jake graduated cum laude from Georgia Southern University in 2017, earning his degree in Construction Management. He has been a valuable member of the Speir team since 2013, starting as a field helper during high school. His hands-on experience in the field led to an internship as an assistant estimator during his college years.
We are proud to announce that Jake has taken on the role of Vice President. In this position, he manages day-to-day operations, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. He combines his education, hands-on field experience, and leadership skills to deliver safe, high-quality results across a wide range of projects.
Jake is passionate about staying ahead of industry technology and code changes, making sure our managers and field employees are equipped with the latest tools and knowledge. He oversees our in-house training program, helping every team member stay current on safety standards and best practices.
Today, Jake is responsible for managing a variety of projects at Speir, leveraging his deep knowledge and experience in construction. He holds a state electrical license as well as certifications in OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid, and AED, ensuring he is well-equipped to manage the safety and efficiency of his projects.
Lacey Kittrell
Corporate Secretary & HR Manager
Lacey began her journey with Speir and Associates in 1999 as a part-time summer helper. Over the years, she has grown with the company, holding a variety of roles that have given her a comprehensive understanding of the organization from the ground up.
Her dedication to the people and culture of Speir, combined with her broad internal experience, has led her to her current position as Corporate Secretary. She also oversees all aspects of the Human Resources program. Lacey brings both heart and strategy to her leadership in HR, ensuring that the company’s values are reflected in its people practices.
Lacey holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Information Technology and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Her credentials, paired with her long-standing commitment to the Speir Electric team, help her lead HR initiatives with both expertise and dedication.
Chris Holland
Senior Project Manager
Chris Holland has been an integral part of Speir for over 14 years. After graduating high school, he explored several job paths before discovering a strong interest in electrical work—a decision that launched his long-term career in the field. Through years of dedication and hands-on learning at Speir, Chris has grown into his current role as Project Manager.
General contractors have consistently recognized Chris for his attention to detail and reliability, including a certificate of appreciation from Garbutt Construction that acknowledges his significant role in successful project outcomes.
Chris maintains multiple certifications, including First Aid/CPR and OSHA, reflecting his ongoing commitment to safety and industry standards. Outside of work, Chris enjoys fishing and spending quality time with family and friends—activities that help him stay grounded and fulfilled. Looking ahead, he remains enthusiastic about growing both personally and professionally as part of the Speir family.
Bart Hall
Project Manager
Bart Hall brings over four decades of experience in the electrical trade, he began his career in 1984 with Merit Electric in Largo, Florida. Over the years, he’s cultivated extensive expertise in electrical systems, project supervision, and team leadership.
After gaining early experience with several small companies, he joined Tri-City Electric in 1989. During his five-year tenure, he completed the ABC Apprenticeship Program in May 1993 and remained with the company until relocating to Macon in July 1994.
From 1994 to 2013, he served as a Superintendent with Macon Power/Metro Power, managing crews and overseeing various commercial and industrial electrical projects.
He joined Speir and Associates as an electrician in May 2013. His leadership and field expertise led to a promotion to Job Superintendent in November 2016 and in August of 2024 he advanced to his current role as Project Manager. He is CPR certified and has his OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
Bart proudly served six years in the Army National Guard and completed Basic Training and Advanced Training (AIT) at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Mark Malte
Project Manager
With over 40 years of experience in the electrical industry, Mark brings deep technical knowledge and leadership to his role as Project Manager. His career began in San Diego, California, where he earned and maintained a State Journeyman’s License before relocating to Georgia.
He joined Speir and Associates in January 2016 as an electrician, quickly proving himself through his expertise and dedication. His strong performance led to a promotion to Job Superintendent in July 2017, and later to Project Manager in April 2024. His unwavering determination in his field has continued to lead to advancements at Speir and Associates.
Mark holds an OSHA 30 certification, is CPR certified, and continues to be a key contributor to the success and safety of every project he oversees.
Chelsea Speir
Pre-Construction Coordinator
Chelsea joined our team full time in 2015, after having worked part time for the company in a number of capacities over the years. She brings considerable customer service and accounting experience to our team.
As pre-construction coordinator she supports our estimating team in the bidding process by organizing bid documents, tracking project timelines, and managing communication between internal teams, external partners, and subcontractors. She assists with job take offs, cost estimates, maintaining subcontractor databases, and preparing bid packages and proposals.
Gabby Kersey
Assistant Project Manager
Gabby Kersey joined the Speir team in early 2022, bringing with her a growing passion for project management developed through her previous work with a general contractor and her time at Speir Electric. A veteran of the Georgia Army National Guard, Gabby served on active duty during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of military operations and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal along with several other recognitions.
Gabby holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and applies her leadership and organizational skills to every project. At Speir, Gabby coordinates purchase orders and subcontracts, and plays a key role in supporting the management of projects of all sizes.
Frances Ware
Office Manager
Since joining the team in 2023, Frances Ware has been a key contributor to Speir Electric. Frances has more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting across both the public and private sectors. Her deep understanding of financial operations, developed over decades of hands-on work, has made her a valuable asset to the team from day one.
Frances holds an Associate Degree in Business Accounting as well as a diploma in Computerized Accounting. Her educational background, combined with her real-world expertise, equips her to manage a wide range of financial responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency.
At Speir, Frances plays a key role in processing payroll and managing Accounts Payable, ensuring smooth and timely financial operations that support the company’s day-to-day functions. She takes pride in maintaining strong attention to detail and supporting internal teams with a dependable and service-oriented approach.
Pat Wallace
Safety & Service Director
Pat Wallace brings a diverse and well-rounded background to our team, with hands-on experience spanning manufacturing, facilities management, safety, and education. He holds a degree in Applied Manufacturing Technology, along with a certificate in Machine Tool Technology and an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Pat is also CPR certified, which further proves his commitment to safety and preparedness in every role he takes on.
Pat began his career as a machinist at Boeing, where he worked for two years before joining Georgia Kaolin. During his 14 years there, he became a certified millwright and earned his rescue diver certification through the company’s rigorous safety program. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate Master Landscapes for five years before transitioning to a long-term leadership role in education.
For the past 19 years, Pat served at Mount de Sales Academy, where he held multiple roles including Facilities Director, Head of Security, and Clay Target Head Coach. His ability to lead, maintain operations, and foster safety in diverse settings speaks volumes about his adaptability and dedication.
Outside of work, Pat enjoys spending time with his wife, their two grown children, and a beloved granddaughter. His favorite pastimes include cooking, fishing—and more fishing.
Blake Lott
Logistics & Purchasing Manager
Blake brings over 20 years of experience in electrical distribution, installation, and operations to his role as Warehouse Manager. His well-rounded background spanning warehouse logistics, inside sales, and hands-on field work makes him a vital part of the team, ensuring efficiency and reliability across our supply chain.
A native of Jones County, Blake began his career at Cameron & Barkley Co. (later Hagemeyer, Vallen, and Sonepar), where he worked his way up from warehouse roles to inside sales over an 18-year span. He also gained experience with Lowe Electric and Mayer Electric before transitioning to field work during the pandemic. This diverse experience gives him a unique perspective and strong leadership in managing day-to-day operations.
Blake graduated from Jones County High School in 1996 and attended Mercer University, where he played baseball before entering the workforce. He’s proud to call Jones County home and even prouder to be the father of three accomplished children Blaze, Blane and Bristol who are all pursuing careers in healthcare.
